Brendan & I are creatures of habit. Living in German Village, our Sunday routine was becoming quite…well…predictable. Always lovely, tasteful & delicious without fail we enjoy long leisurely Sunday’s at Lindey’s pouring over a paper, sipping hot coffee with creme, diving into eggs perfectly prepared & always surrounded by dear friends. Lindey’s is for sure our home away from home but we needed to shake things up a bit last week so we asked our friends on Facebook to feed us the skinny on their favorite places for breakfast & brunch in Columbus.
A special thanks to everyone who responded with their tasty top spots…
Suzanne Horner Barrio, Mary McGuff Flood the Grill & Skillet, Anna Robins & Amanda Young DK Diner, Kristin Martinez & Janice Roth recommend Explorer’s Club, Marissa Barsotti Zen Cha, Kim Stuckenbrock Tasi, Jim Coleman Jury Room & Betty’s, Jordan Sugarman Skillet and Jeffy Pellman Milestone 229. Well, tis the season so we’ve decided to take all your favorites and taste them for ourselves from last Sunday forward.
Starting with Katalina’s Cafe Corner…
On our menu:
Swedish Pancake Balls filled with Nutella; Award-Winning Breakfast Tacos & Slow-Roasted Pork & Egg sandwich with avocado, roasted pepper and mayo. It was divine! While the atmosphere is a bit crowded for us, it was a hipster chic cozy corner that offered fantastic fare & we will definately be back. Really looking forward to lunching here. . . Rustic White Anchovy & Egg, Fennel, Goat Cheese & Apple Bacon & Beet & Boursin sandwiches are calling me home for chilly weather comfort! Bon Appetit!
